I've had an interest in radio related topics since the 1970's, it really took off from there. I have a GMDSS General Certificate, and have specific radios for what interests me, whether it be Marine (vhf), Marine (HF) etc, and for listening on shortwave, & CB Dx'ing. I use a President George II for CB SSB DX'ing, I do things the harder way and let the antennas do the talking and not an amp I've done the QRO side of things in the 80's to the early 90's, and lost interest it wasn't a challenge anymore. I build some of my own antennas but not all, and also build radio related items from kits, I just built myself a 200 amp 13.8v PSU, it was a damn sight cheaper than buying one most expensive thing was the project case. I am located near to the Historic town of Pembroke.
