Hi , my name is Rob and I live right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park . My intrest in radio started when i was very young listening to far away stations on the radio . In the 70`s i brought a CB radio , after a short time a load of us formed a CB radio club . The first radio i had was a Cobra AM 40 channel CB radio . A lot of years later i started watching Youtube video`s on ham radio , and thought lets give it a go ! I passed my Foundation in December 2020 , and in January 2021 i passed my Intermediate exam , and became 2E0GQL . I am a member of the Dartmoor Radio Club , and we meet on the last Thursday of the month at the Yelverton war memorial hall . I am now going down the rabbit hole of learning Morse code . I have become a member of the Long Island CW club , and one day hope to obtain a level of proficiency.
