Hi I'm Peter and located about 7 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. I obtained my Class A licence in 1967 while at school. I was active until the mid 1990s when I developed other interests and let my licence lapse. During the 1970s and 80s I was mainly active on CW, RTTY and Amtor. I wrote and sold software to implement RTTY & Amtor on the BBC B microcomputer. This was quite successful and to my knowledge remains the only BBC B standalone implementation. It seems that Amtor is no more and FT8 seems to have taken its place. Its all a bit easy these days! I have recently become interested again and applied to have my old callsign reinstated. My intention is mainly to be active on CW. Despite the 30 year gap, I can still send and receive CW at 20-25 wpm and use an iambic keyer.
