I gained the foundation licence with my daughter (M3VBG) in August 2007.I gained the Intermediate licence April 2008. In July 2011 I passed the advanced exam and so now hold the full British licence with the call sign M0LOB. I am a keen member of The Torbay Amateur Radio Society which meets every Friday @ 19.30 hrs. Check out www.tars.org.uk. My working conditions are Yaesu FT710 or FT991A with Yaesu MD-100 mic and aTrio/Kenwood TS 830s with MC-50 mic running 100W into an EFHW for 40,20,15 and 10m. Now have a new FT710 with external monitor using a M 70 microphone, very pleased with this SDR radio. For portable / mobile I use FT 817, FT 991A, Kenwood TH-F7e and Yaesu VX-7R and a Yaesu FT1-d system fusion digital HT. Antenna for portable is a 80-40-20m linked dipole by Sotabeams inverted "v" with a 7m fibreglass perch pole, I cannot give this antenna enough praise.
