Hi I was licenced 2001 and interested in radio since child. I used to listen to the Police on my nans old FM radio. My first transceiver was a General Electic 40 channel AM CB, then progressed to FM CB when it was legalised in my late teens for a couple of years. Sold all my radio gear save for a couple of antennas on the roof of the house in 2009 and look a break till 2021. Now have a modest HF setup with an FT857D and EFHW80m plus a couple of 2m and 70cm radios. Have dabbled with DMR but not a fan and prefer C4FM as a digital mode but prefer getting out in the car doing static mobile/portable operation using a Slidewinder coil and whip at present.
