I passed my Foundation exam in April 2024, got my license on 18th April (M7FVM). I got my Intermediate licence on 17 November 2024. I have been a keen SWL since I was 7 when my Dad gave me an R1116 naval receiver that was used in the Swordfish plane. We also had an Eddystone 358X and regularly got QSL cards from across the world. I still have these two radios. I also refurbish valve radios, mainly during the winter months and have a small collection, all working as new! My other hobbies are walking, vegetable growing and I have recently started horse riding lessons so I can accompany my graddaughter on hacks and trails. My transceiver is a Yaesu FT-710, which I am still learning how to configure and use, my tuner is a MFJ Deluxe Versa Tuner II. My main antenna is a 20M end-fed long wire but I also use a 42M (low level) end-fed long wire and a home-made magnetic loop (which latter in in the attic for practical reasons).
