First licensed in 2020 during the Covid lockdown and have gone on rapidly through to a full licence. I still use my intermediate licence 2W0GEW for WSPR In my earlier life I studied as a radio officer in the merchant navy but never went to sea, instead I got married and started working as an electronics development engineer for a number of companies. Now im a contact Hardware / software developer working with mainly startup companies in the renewable energy sector. QTH is in beautiful North Wales situated close to both the sea (400M) and the hills (400M). I use a FT-DX10 with a windom (https://www.aerial-51.com/) and a number of HTs for 4m, 2m & 70cm I also use a FT891 for both home and portable QRO operation. I recently bought a X6100 for some QRP opation along with a SotaBeams linked dipole, still getting used to the radio but its all good so far. I'm a fan of QRP labs projects and have completed a QCX (40M) QDX and QMX. Great kits and fun to play with
