After many years on CB Radio i decided to get into Ham Radio. In 2008 I passed my foundation licence giving me the first rung on the ladder to becoming a full ham radio operator. Due to work and family commitments i was unable to take my hobby any further at the time and ended up taking over 10 years away from my hobby. I recently in the year (2020) came back on the air and having purchased a few radios and made a few antennas i got back on the air. My intention is to progress to the next level and then onto the full licence here in the UK. I live with my wife in a beautiful little village called Maesteg after my wife insisted we moved to Wales to have a new life away from all she knew.. Having taken these trips to Wales and showing her around she has fallen in love with the rolling hills and the busier way of life to what we had in England. Me personally, I prefered it there as its quiet and pretty flat, but i do miss being near the seaside. Im now a HGV driver.
