Mine does the same, seems to be a bug in Omnirig, i'll see if there is a fix. in the meantime what I do is set the "mode" to NONE in the WSTJ-X > settings >radio>mode (near where the test cat button in) , that way you only have to manually set the radio mode to data once when you start using FT8,. hope that makes sense.

Hello Stu - thought I would give your project a try - hit a snag straight away with Omnirig. I think most guys running omnirig run it as an administrator as this makes sharing it with other applications easier (that being the purpose of omnirig). When I click on properties for your windows app there is no tick box to be found to run your app in administrator mode as for most other applications. Is there any workaround for this? Cheers Paul - vk4ma

Stu: What do I need to do if both Rigs of Omnirig are aleady used by other Rigs/Apps. I don't want to go into Omnirig and change things up when I change apps. If I already have DX Labs and Win4Icom connected, is there something in those apps that me allow SM to tag along? Can FLrig work in concert with Omnirig?

hey Gerald, if you already have Omnrig, then just select Omnirig as your rig control method in station master settings and it will tag along. hope that helps.

My setup doesn't enable SM to work off Om rig in a manner as you suggested. However, since a couple of other apps other than my 7100 are occupying both Omni Rigs, I discovered that when those apps are running (Win4Icom and DX Lab), SM becomes synched with those apps as well. As an added bonus, I have SDR Console working well in the mix. I need to write down my rig connection paths before I forget what the heck is going on.

I believe my sequence is as follows: I click on DX Lab Launcher. That opens SDR Console. 15 seconds later Win4Icom opens (delay required). That enables External Radio (my 7100) in SDR Console to track. Some mystery in that setup connects to your SM rig control. I think this whole thing feeds off my Win4Icom because that is the only thing connected to my 7100 Com 3 port, not Omnirig.

The only downside I can think of with this setup so far is Win4Icom will not work with D-star unless it is set up in it which I am won't to do. I suspect SM doesn't work with D-star, either, as I suspect most auto loggers won't anyway.

i have no idea about d-star or how to begin supporting it, i'll have to look into that.
