In Settings ensure these are set correctly: ITU ZONE (e.g 27), CQ ZONE (e.g 14), DXCC (e.g 223), CONTINENT (e.g EU), and your GRID LOCATOR (e.g. IO91VF) - this is essential as QSO points are calculated from the distance between stations.
In Settings set CONTEST_ID to "UKEI80M"
In Settings click "Create New Log Book" and call it UKEI80M
Save and Restart SM
Click Log Template (top menu) and select the option "Send Fixed Value, Receive Serial Number or EXCHANGE".
Open the Score Summary widget from the widgets menu.
The exchange for this contest is your 6-character Maidenhead grid locator (e.g. IO91VF). You receive their grid locator in return - no serial numbers are used.
Log their 6-character grid locator in the CONTEST RECEIVED 1 field.
Band: 80m only.
Scoring: Points are based on distance - 1 point per 500 km (maximum 10 points per QSO). Working bonus stations EI5G or G5GEI (and regional variants) is worth 15 points. There are no multipliers; your total score equals your raw points.
You are now ready to start logging.
- AFTER the contest
At the end of the contest, export the full ADIF log and upload it to the UKEICC adjudication system. You may need to use an online tool to convert to Cabrillo format (Cabrillo contest ID: UKEICC-80M).
You can then switch back to your normal log template and log book database, then click IMPORT from cloud to sync the contest contacts into your normal log book.
